Sunset Over the St. Lawrence River

- EvilGentleman - Monday, February 13th, 2006 : goo

[previous] :: [next]

I was busy running errands yesterday afternoon when I realized that the sun was setting, and there was some thin high cloud in the area. I figured that the sunset had a high chance of looking spectacular, so my wife and I put our errands on hold for an hour or so, and we went and parked at the park at the bottom of 53rd Ave in Lachine, and waited for the sunset to begin. This is some of what I saw:

My wife leaning on a tree

image 8587

The silhouette here is some anonymous person walking his dog.

image 8588

My wife tossing pebbles into the water, Inuit-style. (They try to throw the rock so it descends almost 100% vertically, so as to make as little splash as possible.)

image 8590

I have no idea what kind of birds these are.

image 8591

There were a lot of airliners on approach to the airport.

BETRAYED

These pictures were taken at the sane time as Eyes, but I thought, I'd put them together. These were taken at the back of Loblaw's, Victoria Park and Gerrard. These two were at the garbage chute. Here are the more interesting ones closer.. Hey...
