Dust to Dust

Just a few shots from my beloved part of the world.

Mpumalanga - The place where the sun rises

Mpumalanga Tourism Mpumalanga which was known as the Eastern Transvaal, is one of the top tourist destinations in South Africa. The magnificent scenery, the fauna and flora, the 1870s gold rush saga and a wealth of fascinating tribal legends is what draws people to the area. Very few areas in the world can match the incredible beauty of the Lowveld and escarpment. Rivers, waterfalls, forests & mountains, picturesque passes & valleys, characterise the landscape. This is also Big Game Country, with dozens of sanctuaries full of birds & wildlife. The Kruger National Park is world famous, so too are many of the luxurious private reserves on its western border. Bird-watching, horse-riding, hiking and fishing are just some of the activities available.. Streams that were once panned for gold have become the haven of keen anglers and colourful trout.
