Cold Off the Press

Somebody had to do it, and it might as well be me. It's snowing in Brooklyn! More creative takes will follow, I'm sure. Note: Although the scenes of snowfall and of the creative uses to which snow is put are in fact actual, recorded from life, and not staged, and do indeed originate uniformly from the borough of Brooklyn, the camera operator wishes to acknowledge that not all of these views are the product of the same weather event. For the viewer's convenience and for the coherence of the post, images captured at various times and during different--but substantially similar--winter storms have been consolidated under a single heading. These changes are minor, and are not in any way intended to compromise the essential veracity of the portrait of winter in Brooklyn that is contained herein. The author of this post is, in fact, a firm believer in the truth. Thank you.

getting home to brooklyn tonight was an absolute nightmare. one of those experiences so tragically unbearable that you can't help but laugh about it once you're finally into the warm (mmm.....warm....)

elaine: lovely selection

i can see the snowman must have been telling lies. poor chap, he has only one arm. reminds me of the boxer who got knocked down in the 2nd round and the ref was counting, 1, 2, 3, and the boxer's manager yells to him to stay down until 8 and the boxer asks him what time is it now.

Magical, mystical, and the little snowman with his paper hat...what a series. I wish I could continue looking, but the hour is late.
