Took some pics from the top of the tower, the stratosphere hotel and casino. Apparently it's the tallest building west of the mississippi. Quite a building.

jack: 10th Feb 2006 - 05:32 GMT

my first time in vegas was when i was in the army and came home on leave. i went to vegas as a stop over on my way to california and i had $5 in my pocket and i won on the one arm bandit while i was waiting for my room and i left the next day with $50. that was in '64'

smithright: 13th Feb 2006 - 16:35 GMT

hate to tell you joey, but you're wrong! The stratosphere in LV is 1149 feet high; the US Bank tower is only 1018 feet high.

jethro: 21st Mar 2006 - 05:31 GMT

yeah joey, At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
