Calgary 01

- Cyberia - Monday, February 6th, 2006 : goo

[previous] :: [next]

Decided there are just not enough photos of the Calgary area. For a city that's varying shades of white, brown and grey 10 months of the year (or if your south of the 49th, 13 months a year. :) )
A couple are taken at the Devonian gardens (which are wonderful indoor tropical gardens downtown). And all of them are shot in January (Witness! No igloos :) )
All of these are completely untouched (but obviously resized).

jack: did that guy miss his train?

Cyberia: 7th Feb 2006 - 03:34 GMT

Ha no he's just running.
The tracks he is on are the industrial tracks heading south. The tracks next to him are the furthest south end of the c-train.
And the bridge is the end of the city.

Micah: 14th Nov 2006 - 02:56 GMT

Oooh. Though not to be confused with the Devonian Gardens outside Devon, near Edmonton. A nice couple-hour bike ride out west of E-town will get you there and wow it is nice! There's even a maze which is small but not easy. I have never been to the one in Calgary, though. I guess our equivalent (being indoors) would be the Muttart Conservatory (the pyramids).
And the ultimate abandoned shopping cart view is the Sturgeon River in St Albert. Carts at various angles, wheel and handles sticking up from the (not-very-deep) water.
