Project Underway

- Jono Cono - Thursday, February 2nd, 2006 : goo

For a while now I've wanted to make my own t-shirts, not the actual shirt itself but my own designs to go on a shirt. I've started out making hip-hop designs, so far I have a couple that are complete. I don't consider myself a great artist, and I'm somewhat of a perfectionist which makes the process a bit tedious.

I used to break-dance a lot, now I'm more into popping, tutting, locking etc...but all the b-boys and b-girls I know, myself included never could find cool shirts with that kind of flavour we were looking for.

I imagine as time goes on I will develop different designs but for now the project line is hip-hop. I've never had much of a feedback base except for a few friends of who I'd dare ask what their thoughts were on the design, so any feedback here would be welcome.

For the first time, I've put up a shirt for sale with my original design on it, you can see it here. cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8380077887&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
Again feedback is what I'm looking for here, good or bad. I want to know what people think.

It's an exciting time for me, this is something I've wanted to do for a few years now. I learned a lot along the way, about creating artwork on computer, textile printing, what kind of inks to use etc...So who knows where this will go, even if people don't take to my designs I guess I'd still be happy to wear my own shirts ;0
