katrinar: Is that an UFO in the left sky?

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 1st Feb 2006 - 18:52 GMT

Lincoln looks like a Blessed Virgin Mary appearance.

Nice pic, good timing with the light, and I see the altocumulus cloud standing lenticular has sparked some interest as a side discussion.

what's the deal here.is it my imagination or are some comments being edited out.

Britney: No

swinney: this brings a tear to my eye.

Harry?: 9th Feb 2006 - 13:07 GMT

yes on the juice,

I made a comment yesterday that's gone today, I guess there's no freedom of speech on this website.

hool: 9th Feb 2006 - 23:15 GMT

there's nothing on citynoise.org that says "anything and everything goes". it is lightly moderated. very lightly. we do not tolerate abusive comments, spam, or crap, but we often tolerate more than we should.

i see a lot of grand statements from chumps about "freedom of speech". you are free to speak as you please at citynoise. we are free to make editorial decisions. if you keep your comments constructive, or at least a tiny bit more useful than abusive or obscene, your comment will not be removed.

your access to posting on citynoise.org is not some inalienable right guaranteed to you by some invisible internet constitution. you did not do the work to create this site, you do not do the work to maintain it, you do not pay for it, and you do not deal with chumps like yourselves on a daily basis to keep citynoise growing as an open community.

so post useful comments and articles, and the evil rights-killing censors will not destroy your soul's freedom with their oppressive mysql fundamentalism.

I propped my leica on the edge of the reflecting pool at sunset, and waited for a jet on the approach over the potomac to reagan intl. was expecting some streaky lights but got something far more interesting.

EvilGentleman: 10th Feb 2006 - 03:51 GMT

Oh, ok. I was wondering about that. I was thinking either ACSL cloud or contrails, never thought of exposure time vs. landing lights. Thanks for the info to clear things up. Nice pic, btw.

Peter: 10th Feb 2006 - 17:26 GMT

evilgentleman: omg! can kill you! www.carnicom.com/contrails.htm

j: 11th Feb 2006 - 04:45 GMT

bush's devoted followers are already working on a statue on the mall for his highness, the greatest president since ron man...just ask duyba, he'll tell you all that you need to know because he has to educate us...

sine: 11th Feb 2006 - 04:55 GMT

nothing would go on the mall other than a monument to a huge war (wwII). so until then, it will be a long, long time before anything is added. it only took them 60 years to put the WWII memorial there.

sine: yeah, hool. power to the people!

Stash: 16th Feb 2006 - 04:00 GMT

Hi, here in Toronto we woukd like to have a statue in respect of the Vietnam Draft
resisters who helped keep our country true, strong and free and were not communists or traitors, not that there's anything with that!

barry: Great photo sine.

barry: But what is the line ?

joey: 24th Feb 2006 - 02:23 GMT

bush bankrupts america and is still called the greatest president? what's with that? actually, he is playing the violin like nero of rome.

The 'Green' Thief

There is a "green" thief lurking in my neighbourhood! In my 2 1/2 years in here, my three recycling containers have gone missing: the green bin; the blue box and the grey box. For those who may have a different...
