A homeless man passes me, pushing his cart up Grand Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn... Incidentally, in the street on the far-right side of the first photo, you can see the FDNY arriving for the fire documented in this entry... This article has been viewed 2419 times in the last 2 years jack: 11th Jan 2006 - 18:37 GMTwo, thats my uncle joe. we have been looking for him for 32 years. he has a cleaning business. he cleans windshields on cars as they are stopped for red lights. old uncle joe. thats his old army cap. he was a member of the screeming pidgeons. he landed in normandie 10 years after the war. he always played it safe. he was going to marry a japanese girl to cement relations for the marshall plan but when he met her father in 1956 he decided not to marry her because he found out her father was a kami kase pilot. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 11th Jan 2006 - 19:30 GMTPeter, that's crazy coincidence. I was going to take a photo of a homeless persons cart this morning. It was all alone in the street and piled high with stuff. It was a magnificent work of balance. Now I wish I had. jack: 13th Jan 2006 - 20:19 GMTi cant believe no one commented on my silly little story about this guy. Peter: 13th Jan 2006 - 20:30 GMTi liked it. i always like your stories. i wish youd make one for every entry. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 13th Jan 2006 - 20:55 GMTI love your stories too. They're briliant and often the highlight of the posting.
