Catherine Penfold-Waxman: And from little acorns...

jack: 10th Jan 2006 - 01:23 GMT

a mommy scyamore brought her little acorn to school today and the acorn began to cry, saying no, no, i dont want to go to school. i want to stay home and play in the leaves. but mommy said, if you dont go to school the squirrel will find you and keep you locked up for the winter. you have to go to school so you can become a big tree like daddy. now dont you want to be like daddy? but mommy, isnt daddy an old oak? yes dearie, but you take after my side of the family tree and you will be a sycamore. besides sycamore trees can bend with the wind and old oaks cannot. thats why the old oaks eventually fall, but you will last a long time. your not a chip off the old block.

onan: this is the best high school

grange: 28th Feb 2006 - 21:35 GMT

FORMER STUDENT: 19th Jul 2006 - 17:10 GMT

THE CURRENT PRINCIPAL AT THIS SKOOL IS MAD LAZY AND SLOW. MOST OF THE TEACHERS DON'T CARE AND R GARBAGE. I ADVISE PARENTS NOT TO SEND THEIR KIDS THERE.

Aamanda McMichael: 22nd Aug 2006 - 03:01 GMT

ACORN is not that bad so people should really chill out cause the current students right now are tryna make it better for the new freshmens we have coming in, who are alot more into new activities. so this year its going to be a big change.

Courtney: 11th Sep 2006 - 04:25 GMT

ok now i went to acorn and had to leave,no basketball team,no gym,no real after school activities and not even up with the computer game of now a days honestly people goin to this school are at a disadvage

Former Student -Class of 03': 18th Apr 2007 - 19:35 GMT

I graduated from ACHS, and although I had some great experiences there, they did not have the latest equipment and technology. The gym is pretty small, but I didn't care because I hated gym. They have a dance studio, which I came to love. There was a basketball and bowling team, as well as a debate team that won awards and things of that sort. They were tryng to get a track team, but I don't know how that's going. Since it's been almost 4 years since I've graduated, they may have a lot more things going on now. The only problem is the lack of after-school activities, student newspaper and teams. If the students can get that started, this would be a perfect school. My teachers were great (if they're still there) and they prepared me for college. It was not bad at all, but of course students will have fights every now and then. Because it is a small school, everyone will know one another, and it is like a family atmosphere. Even the bell is pretty cool (if they still have it). If you're all about playing sports and all that, I don't advise you to go to this school; but if you care about learning and making a difference somehow, this school is perfect.

Jaquana Credle: 14th May 2007 - 21:15 GMT

I currently attend acorn community high school and i will be honest it isnt the best school to attend . And yes we do have some teachers that dont care but what school doesnt? ACORN is a small school with stupid acting students but we must not forget about the bright people that attend like myself and my fellow friends. So for people to come up here and dis my school let me ask you what school do you go to? Because i am sure that your school isnt anybetter then mine. Yeah acorn doenst have a proper gym or auditorium but so what we have school spirit that none of you other schools can even compare too!!!!!!!!!

miss peach: 21st May 2007 - 18:48 GMT

acorn is fun at times but most of the time it's wack

John Gayle: 1st Jun 2007 - 04:51 GMT

ACORN is A wonderful school. Whether we admit it or not some kids are stupid, some are in between, and others are smart. Of course the dumb ones who ar constantly getting in trouble will never have anything goo to say about the school. The school is small therefore it affords each student the opportunity to have a closer relationship with their teachers as opposed to the situation in larger high schools. If I could go back in time and select another high school to attend I would not do it. ACORN has alot of opportunities, student just lack the drive to exploit them. The common complaint is the gym, yes our gym issmall but we make the best of the situation. We play easy games that make it easier for you to participate and therefore earn your grade. Then there is the other complaint that the teachers in ACORN dont care about the students. While attending ACORN from 2002- 2006 I cursed out 85 % of the teachers there most of the time I wasnt punished properly but at the end of the day if I needed help I could return to the same teacher I cursed out that day and it would be an uncomfortable situation but I would not be denied the assistance I required. Many smart kids go to ACORN and fall into the trap with the majority of the dumb kids. If you dont believe there are DUMB in the world then you might as well kill yourself. When I say dumb i mean lack of intelligence. For many years it has been the cool thing to be stupid, its a sad fact.

Akim A..K.A humble : 22nd Jun 2007 - 17:50 GMT

I am a former student and it is not a bad school there is however alot of dedicated teacher; like for instant Mr Honoroff i bet any one that ever had his class to say something negetive about the guy, also Ms whats her name can remmeber it, but she though me earth science they really cared for their student's education, and they are just few of the dedicated staff at the school all those other comments does not make any sense becuse you know those kid are idots they can't even spell now you know they did not go to class.

L@DY W@tCh3R: 29th Jun 2007 - 16:34 GMT

Im interested in attending this high school. I was looking fo pictures so i could see how it might becuase I wanted to go to any school out of the bronx.lol
I read up on this school and to me it sounds great, has the subjects im into and everything.i found this page and had second thoughts because of all the negtive comments that were posted but after alot of thought i still want to attend this school because many of the students are right what school doesnt have its ups and downs.

mark blak: 29th Jun 2007 - 22:19 GMT

when i started in 99 it wasn't the best school but it was bad & fun i was the 1 that never went to class because the lunchroom was where all the fun was at(remember the fights). we would be in the 1st floor bathroom playing c-low,hiding from security ,smoking in the locker room or getting chased from one floor to another. i don't know how it is now but aint nothing like the 99-03 era.oh 1 more thing im offended by those who are talking down on the ones that didn't go to class because im one of those and even though i didnt graduate from acorn i love my life now i have a son, house and lets not count the amount of cars i drive and im not even i new york no more.so thank u to the teachers who said i would be nothin.

antoinette small: 6th Jul 2007 - 00:50 GMT

I'm a current student at ACORN and i graduate in '09. To those who come in as freshmen, here's a word of the wise. If you do your research and go to open houses then you'll figure out what school is good for you. But if you don't and you end up in ACORN and you don't like it then that's your fault. I like ACORN even though there needs to be a few improvements. In my opinion, some of the teachers there are qualified for their positions, and they've helped me reach some of my endeavors. But there are those who, i feel aren't so much, and who use their abuse their authority and cross the line. It's happened time and time again. But if assistance is needed they would be there to help out. If you feel that there's something wrong with the way things are going then you can go to your GUIDANCE COUNSELOR and say something(they'll listen), instead of sitting down and complaining about what's wrong(this is a reoccurring thing). But I LOVE ACORN!!

Batty: 30th Jul 2007 - 19:24 GMT

I love this picture. I love how there are the kids hanging out in the front.

New York is an amazing place, but I don't understand, you get to pick what high school you go to?

It dosen't make sense. Aren't you sent to the high school that you live closest to?

Andrew Ramrattan: 7th Aug 2007 - 04:27 GMT

If I was a parent I would not send my kids to this school. The majority of kids don't wanna learn and they're typical common ghetto trash. They disrupt classes and prevent other students from learning and give teachers a hard time for no reason. This school is the prime example of why black people as a race will never amount to anything. Sure there are a few productive ones here and there but for the most part they don't know how to act, they don't care about education, and they pass all that negativity on to their bastard children. It's a vicious cycle.

concernedparent: 11th Sep 2007 - 15:26 GMT

Is there anyone who can post a place where a parent can see a list of the Faculty at ACHS and where they are from or what university they attended?

Simone w. class of 2005: 8th Oct 2007 - 17:22 GMT

HA. I went to this school, left in 2005 as one of the top students. It was not that bad...We did have some drugged up dance teachers and we DID have the worst gym experience ever, but the teachers DID care. Teachers care when the students show an intrest in their own education. I left this school with a "ok" education...meaning that this school does not a varierty of AP classes. It was hard to transition into college with the knowledge from High school. UM...WHAT ELSe? Well...I thought the debate team was SICK! I was the captin for a little while. I've been to Texas, Vermont, Chicago and California to name some places from ACORN debate. I now attend a really good college, (Clarkson University) and planning to transfer to St lawrence University . Its a great place if you want a small community based education, but you really neeed to work hard if you want to learn alot. I think it's best to aviod the auto shops around there though, cause one year- this boy got stabbed in the neck by a crazy jamican that he threw snowballs at.

RuSS: 14th Nov 2007 - 02:16 GMT

Graduated out of Acorn in June of 07 and i was actually 1 of 2 salutatorians lol. i always thought about transferring when i got there but after four years i never realized how good the school actually was to me. it helped me with so much and helped me obtain things i never thought a high school could. yea as you can see the HS is small but thats actually in benefit when it comes to education. every teacher is allowed time to every student he/she is teaching and that is what makes the school significant. i would do the four years all over again if given the chance, i would definitely have to take out the Regents eventhough the school is helpful in making sure students gain all possible knowledge in order to "ATTACK" the test as most of teachers would say.
All in all, the school is what you make it, i did it up all four years and left my mark which wasnt as hard as i thought!

undefeated ROCKY: 15th Nov 2007 - 15:57 GMT

WOW.. this school has grown from what im hearing.... I hated it here. the only things i actually liked were the few that you could call friends.... Its not in an area that attracts alot of attention its basically in a covert place, so i figure children fight to get the attention one way or another. I do kinda miss some of my teachers like Mr. arozal, and espeicially Mrs Lamarre. This school has alot to offer and if you behave you wont end up out here in da boondocks like me.......I miss you Vanda, Jessica, Ocha, and all my other homies. I tried not to be as long as that person before me but Daaaggg!!!! my bad...LOl.Anyways I cant type something without repping... So Congratulations to all My 08'Homies life is just beginning...

jhon: where is it located

Victoria Ware: 3rd Dec 2007 - 08:39 GMT

i was in the class of 2007 and to be honest my first impression of acorn wasn't a good one. i was always the quiet type and never spoke to any one (yeah i did hear stories of acorn being a really bad school). but when i got there i soon realized how great of a school it was. acorn is a small school so the teacher student relations are great. and out from what i hear about other school our teachers are some of the best. they are mostly young so they teach in a way that students actaully learn and want to pay attention. the teachers do care about the students (some just show it in a tough way, ie douglas and robinson). but all the teachers try to make high school as enjoyable as possible but taking us on a variety of trips and doing alot of hands on activities ( i miss ms black and mcelligott for that). while the school phys ed . department is lacking and we have no "real" sports team we have a lot of extra curricular. i was in just about all of them. (dj, film, drama, mentor-mentee, my recommendations debate.) i went form quiet meek vikki to capatin of the debate team (great at public speaking). and lastly acorn is the perfect school to gain friends there isnt one sould who attends or has attended acorn who can say they didnt find they're perfect group of friends there. hoped i helped

Hashim Lynch: 3rd Dec 2007 - 09:00 GMT

Yea I was a student here. Graduated in '05. My reason for coming to this school was because I thought it was an art based school. I was so very wrong. Although it did have an art class that I was totally into. The teacher was the best. She was my motivation and she helped me out alot. If it werent for her I don't think I'd care for art anymore cause my motivation started dying down before. I wasn't much of a social person to students or teachers. I've been through quite a bit in this school. From getting picked on, laughed at, and whatnot just for looking different. But whateverm I did make some awsome friends here and I don't regret it at all. This school wasn't so bad at times. But I did feel that I've wasted a couple of years there. So yea, good luck new kids!

arii: 16th Dec 2007 - 00:46 GMT

thiis schOoL is HORRiBlE..
the system is BACKWARDS...literally..
they will have u learning math b before math a.
they skip steps in the learning process
they ignore the students physical and mental needs. smh

To Arii: 20th Dec 2007 - 16:37 GMT

Students who skipped Math A and moved to Math B classes are exemplary students who already passed Math A Regents. If you feel that your need wasn't met, you have to see any of your Math teachers, guidance counselors, the school's Math Coach or the AP. They will definitely address your concern.

juan tejeda : 22nd Dec 2007 - 16:02 GMT

as a part of the 2ng generation of ACORN studentswe ruled that school .
so all u kids who cry about the school .work to change the system. like we did .

ok
heres how acorn goes
once you past freshman year. and u havent gotten in good with all teachers...if they arent what u want them 2 be.THEN EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE..ur fucked.. sorry its the truth

if ur not on THE LIST....then ur done for. u mine as well make the best of it as u possibly can.

ive been suspended for the dumbest things.. going 2 ZERO PERIOD( a period where you get extra help).

they cancel zero period about 3 times a week.

anything good that starts in acorn. never last

well. i mean the parties, and winter fest, thats a reoccuring thing....but i guess thats whats most important to keep up with, makes sense(SARCASM)

buttt we cant seem to put up with charts, that show us how were doing in each class..

we keep up with candy kanes every christmas....

butt we cant keep up with work, because we have teachers who are ill..and THEN the teacher ur replaced with....always wanted to be a (ART) teacher..(AGAIN MAKES SENSE)< SUPER SARCASM

the principal is super hard to get in touch with...ESPECIALLY in the morning

there are DEANS(disciplinary ADULTS) who pay students and tell students. not to be friends with other students. BECAUSE OF THEIR PERSONAL DISLIKES...hmmm (SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT SCHOOL 2 ME)..YOU BE THE JUDGE

your part of the story is NEVER listened 2. if they dont feel like answering you

soo...all the people who said THEY LOVE acorn...theres what u left out

incoming people

GREAT LUCK..forget good...GREAT...you WILL need it

do NOT talk in class
DO NOT GET INTO ANY TROUBLE
once removed from the LIST.... your forever removed

and i sincerly HOPEE u are put in the avid program..!... then its REALLYYY HARDD
but im off of this....

thank god i got 1 more year left in this hell whole

i wont even speak of the GYMATORIUM??>>>>....YES

MIND YOU IVE HAD 2 GRADE MEETINGS SINCE IVE BEEN IN THE SCHOOL..

2

IM IN 11TH GRADE ...hmm again..SOUNDS LIKE A PERFECTTT SCHOOOL.

p.s security guards take 10 minutes 2 get to fights...sooo if ur scared 2 fight.. i suggest u switch yourr school...youll be getting beat up for hourss. b4 the security guards come..god forbid they dont like u...they wont stop it...=/

ok im really done

KADEEM. : 13th Jan 2008 - 05:41 GMT

one more thing...SECURITY GUARDS PAY OTHER STUDENTS 2 FIGHT U

anon (216.79.193.56): 7th Feb 2008 - 16:25 GMT

your point is off the hook and i totally agree. I only spent my first 2 years there and i could take it anymore so an alternative was eiter moving or bombing the school or killing myself.... since im typing lets just say my third option didnt work...... GREAT SCHOOL..

Chrislla: 28th Feb 2008 - 02:30 GMT

As class of 09's vice president, I can say that the school is not the best and it is not the worst either. Its average, andi recommend it to others dependin what your major is. Our science, technology and math programs are fair but if you are looking for a school with a GYM or Auditorium you should look else where. I love most of the friends I made in my school, but since its a small school news travels fast, so there is alot of the drama in the school. In addition the discipline is ridiculous. Other than that we have fun school parties and great extra curicular activities and majority of the time you can join more than one. As for example I am part of the Student government and the girls soccer team.

jack: 28th Feb 2008 - 03:51 GMT

chrislla and victoria you both sound like intelligent students, school is probably the best place to be, you can learn about the great people of the world and the only thing you have to do is your studies, homework, but most important learn to write correctly, english composition is the most important of business knowledge, to form a simple sentence and write a report that makes sense and clarifies your ideas. if you want to make money in the business world, LEARN TO WRITE, SPELL AND USE PROPER GRAMMER.

{{A}}: 28th Feb 2008 - 23:56 GMT

Everyone is going to have there own personal opinion about the schooL regardl3ss. But for the ones who attend ACORN...they cant say that this school is all around bad. Just because this school may not have a couple of things, no one cant say that this school is not a decent learning environment. Whats the point of complaining when you cant change anything. If you have a problem with the school personally, why not find a new one. Dont wait until your junior or senior year to start complaining. Its unneccasary. It wouldnt be right to say that teachers dont do there job, because if that was you in there shoes, you wouldnt like it. Students expect teachers to know it all and to be perfect, when theyre learning as well. Acorn isnt a "BAD" school and its not the best, but there are people who care about the students education, and students would be lying if they said that not one teacher has helped them with something and made them smarter. Just because your grades arent up to part, it may be easy for you to point the finger. If you hangout with the right group of people and stop following the negative ones, then maybe students will actually see things differently. You cant expect things to be perfect..this is BrookLyn. If you were to run ACORN, it probably would be ten times worse. Everyone is always talking about what ACORN doesnt have and what they dont do, but they never make the best of what it does have. There are worse schools out there and theyre probably saying the same thing. As least your actaully in a school, a lot of kids arent. Make the best of it and ride it out, because when its your senior year and youre off to college, I'm pretty sure your going to miss your friends, some who went to "ACORN". Every teacher that I've had has made me a better person..believe it or not. If you are dedicated and willing to learn despite of the negativity going on around you, then they will be there for you. Yes, teachers talk about students, the students do the same thing. People in this school is too dependent on other students, and thats one of the problems this school has..But do what you gotta do so you can raise up out of there. Before you know it, you will be walking down that aisle with no regrets...On that note..I'm outti3>>>>>>>>>ClaSs of '09

12th grade Diva: 4th Mar 2008 - 14:19 GMT

I am a student at Acorn Community High School and the school is good but the princpal, Deans and some teachers do not care about the students. They all will try to gang up on you and lye and say stuff that you didnt even do and its sad. I know for sure that if you are not in Ms. Douglass little AVID class you will be the one that they picks on and lye on.

Now I'm not so sure if I want to go this school. AS I am reading these comments I get more reasons as to why I don't want to go to this school. Can somebody tell me more?

Kathleen Knight: 1st Apr 2008 - 19:51 GMT

Right now i think that i am the only one making a comment from from my class. I am a former student. i am part of the class of 2000 , And PROUDLY reps MY school. I believe a school is only as bad as the students who attend there. If you are bad then no matter what school you attend you will carry that attitude with you. If you really want to learn then you will go to school and learn something no matter what is going on.It is all on how you as an individual get out of where you are. ACORN, from the year 96-00 was one of the best school in BK. We had teachers and a principal ( not mrs leonard) who really care about us and our education, and they did everything for us to help us get to where we wanted to go.If we asked they were willing to but themselves out thereto help us. We had teachers like MR Honoroff , who went out his way to help us meet college deadlines, Ms Mortly who made Gym fun and creative. We had student-teacher basketball tourniments, health fairs, dances etc....
We had a dance studio that was top of the line with an incredible dance teacher who now owns her own dance studio in Compton right now. We had an Art teacher from Hawaii Named mr Stankavich, He was fun and made Art know to us who thought that art was drawing stick figures on a sheet of loose leaf. We had Math teacher like MR Edwards and Mr Cornell. Science teachers like Ms piper and a host of other faculty and teacher.
We were given the oppertunity to work with the ACORN /working family party, working on major champain's like when Major Owens was relected into congress. While i attend ACORN we had lots of fun times as well as great times in the classroom.
You should never Knock something until you try it. When you are looking for a school to attend you should always look for someplace that will help you grow both academiclly as well as socially. I believe ACORN will do both.
For those people who sit there and talk bad about any school, I bet if you check there report cards it reflects there attitude at school.

...........................................ACORN IS THE BEST.............................SHOUT OUT TO THE CLASS OF "00"

"G": 14th Apr 2008 - 01:59 GMT

I will start by saying this, Acorn has got a good heart, it's intentions are to give the students the knowledge to succeed. The teachers are good some bad but mostly good. and most of the students are very respectable. The school however lacks
discipline. Gangs are almost using this school like a recruiting camp.
Bloods, Crips and other fellow brotherships, Folks, People,
Electronics, text message, cells, I-pods, blackberrys, you name it we have it. Its out of control Yo! No metal detectors? Yo wake up!
Effect it dont regret it!

I grauduated in June 2007 and I have to honestly say that my four years in this school was nothing short of memorable. I was a very shy person and would usually only speak when spoken to but I had alot of fun here. I partcipated in some of the after school activites and made some pretty good friends. If there's one good thing that I can say about this school is that the teachers were EXCELLENT! I say that because they really took the time to not only teach you academically but also prepare you for the real world. It is a small school yes and may lack some things such as sports activities and an audotorium (lol) but it makes up for it with a well rounded education that prepares you to take the next step in your quest for success!

Natasha: 29th Apr 2008 - 16:51 GMT

OK, OK...I know I complained my WHOLE 4 years in this school but honestly it isn't that BAD. Your high school experience is what you make it - so for those of you who spend time complaining about the gymatorium or the teachers who get on your nerves, you're not going to enjoy it. duhhhhh.

Acorn High School the student body is pretty Urban there nothing like a school who loves the good ole Fire drill every week...And the bathrooms being close cause some one was smoking in there or let us not forget the year some one pulled there pants down and took a shit in the stairs case.. Good times I love this school would i send my child there Hell no would i send your child there well of course...This school needs a Make over to the gym is so small if you ran around it 100 times you wouldnt be out of breath....Ive been cursed out many of times by teachers at this school but the deans said it was out of LOVE...So i took all those words in love.. and the next day i came in and showed my LOVE to them also.. on a scale of 1-10 it would rank a 4

CLaSS oF '09 [Ms. Me]: 7th Jul 2008 - 23:04 GMT

Class of '09..YESS!!!, we're seniors now. But i would be wrong if I were to say that our journey thus far has not been memorable. As a senior, I've definitely grown up since the first day I've walked into ACORN. Sure, many people say it's a bad school, and that it may lack in a few areas. But there are many things that this school has done that people fail to realize and take note of. So many wonderful teachers and students have come and gone. Every teacher that i've had, have taught me things that has made me smarter and wiser. I can't help but be appreciative. ACORN is a good school, and there is no need to compare it to other schools because it serves no purpose. High School is what you make it, and by complaining, a person is truly waisting their time. Staff members like Ms. Hill, Mr. Connel, Ms. Lafalaise, Mr. Martinez, Ms. Duffus, Ms.Hansley, Ms. G, are people who truly care. You incominng freshmans, trust me, if you get to know these teachers and others, you'll be alright. People always speak negative about Ms. Douglas. She is probably the only dean that actually keeps order within the school. You have to except her for her and learn to deal with it. She and other staff members are truly caring, you just have to be respectful and dont be so quick to judge & point the finger. But overall, my three years so far has been good, and i wouldn't have it any other way, yes in ACORN!!..Good luck to the ClasS of 2009. You only experience this once, so most definitely live it up. Congrats to the graduates of '08. The torch has officially been passed =]..I'm looking forward to coming back in September and enjoying my last year. So you incoming freshmans and you sophmores, keep your head in them books, because its not easy. Stop complaining and except it for what it is. =]

Yoo I graduated from Acorn in 06.I had a great time there. I knew almost every graduating class starting from 04 all the way to 09 so the high schoool experience is basically what you make of it, Just don't go there and not participate in anything you of course you'll be bored so if your going there i'd advise you to join in the activities and stuff, im pretty sure you'll like. And plus you guys that came in 04 and up were lucky to even have Dr. Lewis cause she fixed the school up compared to what it used to be like with Ms. Leonard controlling it

Stephen Barnes: 11th Jul 2008 - 23:20 GMT

I might go back to work there though cause Acorn was better than most schools. We were small but we had alot of heart, especially those days when we used to figh prospect heights and them other schools

Stu : 16th Jul 2008 - 14:26 GMT

I'm currently a senior [class of 09] and I've enjoyed my years in ACORN. F.Y. I: if you're going to make comments about the school then at least make them memorable ones or use proper grammar. When I came in as a freshman, I'm not going to lie, I was terrified. I heard continuous rumors about Freshman Fridays and I came in not knowing one person, which made it even worse. But that same day I came in and left with a number of friends, especially the graduating class at the time [thanks Steph, Brandon, Alejandro, Curtis, and Xavier]. Yes the school is small and there's not many activities, but the current students make the best of it. We reakized that we didn't have a basketball team, so instead of sitting there and complaining, students went out and made a petition for one. If you want something then you have to make it known, meaning you have to speak up instead of sitting back in the crowds and making comments about everything that goes wrong. Keywords: ACORN COMMUNITY, meaning that its your school and your voice, if you don't say anything then nothing happens. ACORN isn't the greatest school in the world but it's my school and I made sure that the years I spent here were great. The teachers at the school do care, they're just not going to baby you and make sure you have everything done, that's your job. You can only fail yourselves. And if you do happen to run into people who you think could care less, there's always someone else you can talk to, like
Ms. Hill, Mr. McElligott,
Ms. Black, or Ms. G. We currently have a boys Soccer team and a girls soccer team run by Mr. Szabo and Ms. Lovely. We also have the Learn Through Travel club run by Ms. Black where they allow students to travel to far exotic places and learn about the culture there. Last spring, students traveled to Ghana, West Africa and said that there experience opened their mind to the world around them. There isn't much else I can say, except that if you're thinking about going to ACORN do your own research and ask about interviewing students there, it'll make your life easier.

Tyra: 25th Jul 2008 - 03:35 GMT

Ohh yea one more thing,
Depend on yourself and not the safety agents/ security guards. If they want to know what's going on in your life and then make rude, obnoxious comments then that's a clear sign to RUN!! And ask any questions about requirements to graduate in your freshman [it'll make sense when you get there].
