i lived on west 4th st and could walk to coney. i never went on the parachute jump because i was afraid of height, so i ended up in the rangers jumping out of helicopters during nam. and i never went to nam, i had to stay in germany. i could have re-uped but i decided to go home. always going there to a point but turning in another direction at the last moment. life is funny.

last summer, i saw a bum passed out on that wooden ramp up to the boardwalk. he looked dead and didnt appear to be breathing. i mentioned it to a cop on the boardwalk and they called an ambulance and took him away. i was afraid he was either dead or close enough to it that he would aspirate his vomit (which surrounded him somewhat) or something.
anyway, heres a nice one in which you can see the parachute drop from the air.

coney island, im from canada and the only thing it reminds me of is requeim for a dream. heh
