I just discovered this website today. I love it. I am definitely coming back here. The variety of information (both textual and visual) is astonishing, and quite fascinating. I'm surprosed its been along as long as it seems to have been, and I have just now found it. At least that means there's always a backlog of content to catch up on when I'm bored. Nice job, whomever it is that keeps this site going, do keep it up.

I need some of those shoes. I've considered getting them plenty of times.. are they comfortable for walking hours per day?

Peter: 23rd Nov 2005 - 18:40 GMT

those are my feet, heh. ive had quite a few pair of chucks and they indeed stand up to daily wear here in nyc, where i sometimes walk miles in a day. the soles are resilient enough to be supportive and thin ehough to be comfortable and give you a real feel for the terrain passing under your feet.

they used to be made in america... now that theyre outsourced, ive noticed that their quality has s lipped a tad, only in that the shoes wear out a bit faster than they used to (or maybe im walking more? maybe the materials are cheaper? who knows... just my guess...) but it doesnt really matter. at ~$30 a pair, you cant beat em.

i say, everyone needs to have at least one pair of chucks in their closet. my fav are the clack low-tops. you can even design your own at www.converse.com

Peter's feet have popped up elsewhere on this site. Go feet, go!

I'm adding my own 'lame, cliched and boring' shoe shot, but I'm upping the ante to out of focus. I take a lot of accidental shoe shots.
