Nice autumn feel to these shots. I Like! What are all the photos in that shop window of?

Jamie: 12th Nov 2005 - 16:44 GMT

post no old ladies. nice. also, the first one looks as though it could be some kind of macabre human zoo.

ian: 12th Nov 2005 - 20:58 GMT

Does Toronto have a city ordinance specifying brightly colored walls?

Jamie: 12th Nov 2005 - 21:00 GMT

You thought that too? I have a suspiscion that hires people to paint walls in bright colours just to satisy his photographic fetishes. There is photographic evidence which lends weight to this somewhere on citynoise, i'll see if i can find it.

Jamie: 12th Nov 2005 - 21:07 GMT

caught red handed - pun intended

Some guy prepares backdrop for next big hool photoset

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 13th Nov 2005 - 16:42 GMT

Everything really is brighter in Canada.

Peter: 14th Nov 2005 - 15:52 GMT

wow, the payphones look different in canada than they do here.

also: in the above photo of the guy buffing the wall in prep for hool's arrival, i love how the bolts in the right side of the girder he's standing on are painted blue.

ive never been to . and honestly, a huge amount of my visuals of canada have come from hool's photography. ergo, it follows that i should think canada to be a very lovely place.

elaine: 14th Nov 2005 - 17:03 GMT

yes, and when you visit you will only be able to see what is hool-ish

hool: 14th Nov 2005 - 18:10 GMT

toronto is very colorful in discrete chunks, mostly in old residential neighbhorhoods. i think that every neighborhood in every city has this intensity of color, i just take closer notice.

peter: come visit. get in your car with sine, stay at our place, and we will show you toronto. we'll do four hour walks and ten hour talks, smoke blunts (filled with authentic canadian erb) and drink maple syrup.

kc: 14th Nov 2005 - 18:14 GMT

they drink maple syrup??? Wow. Is that hool's secret? does it focus the eyes?

Jamie: 16th Nov 2005 - 15:27 GMT

hool: if i ever get married, can i fly you over here and pay you vast sums of cash to be my wedding photographer?

hool: 16th Nov 2005 - 22:26 GMT

jamie: yes. but only if you get married out on the street where there are colorful walls.

New Ideal Diner

When I saw joey's Customer Parking, it reminded me that I had this video capture shot lurking on my hard drive from my trip of 1999. It's a converted railcar, and the food was quite good.
