Steam Pipe, 5th Ave
[previous] :: [next]
I realized today that I haven't taken enough shots of the ubiquitous nyc steam pipe. Maybe I've taken them for granted because they're so common place, but thats exactly the type of thought I want to banish from my head. Nothing is ever to common place that it can't be re-investigated. Lately I've been looking hard in my immediate neighborhood, to try and find things that I haven't considered before - and I've found a lot. With the right light and weather permitting, I'm going to take those shots soon. Your day to day environment can seem pretty mundane at times but it has a way of changing or maybe you do the changing. Anyway, steam pipes are cool. elaine: 10th Nov 2005 - 16:56 GMTyeah. most of the pictures i have posted on cn have been within a half hour walk of where i live and i see more things to photograph all the time. i do live in an interesting neighbourhood, but still, i am interested in the mundane. indykid: 10th Nov 2005 - 17:34 GMTI really love the 1st photo particularly.
