thats awesome! i was atop rockefeller center last night (photos to come), looking out at the bridge, and its nice to see an up-close photo of it.

how do you get to this area? ive never been there, for some reason, and would love to check it out before winter comes...

peter i used to fish right there. my father lived on bay 13th street before they built the belt parkway and he could walk down to the beach and go swimming. i used to play ball in the sand lots opposite that walkway. take the bridge to the gowanus and go south to the belt pkwy and go to the parking areas off the road. i caught some of the biggest blue claw crabs off those rocks. nice photos.
