My Window on the Chrysler Building
[previous] :: [next]I am really lucky. My daily grind in New York takes me to the 16th floor opposite the Chrysler building. Whenever I'm sick of smashing away at my keyboard, I can swivel around in my chair and look out my window at one of my favorite buildings. It's just so wonderful, like a 70's concept album.

Jamie: 21st Oct 2005 - 08:14 GMTWow, these are niice. Just when i thought i was beginning to tire of seeing photos of buildings, random penfold-waxman lady pops up and shares these gems. I hope you return and share more views with us. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 21st Oct 2005 - 13:44 GMTGlad y'all liked them. It's such a dramatic angle. I almost got the belly of a plane on it's climb from JFK airport. But then I freaked out that it looked like it was going to crash into the Crysler, which is my nightmare scenario. I can get a pretty interesting view of Grand Central Station from here. I'll try to snag that.
Sheila,England - 4th Nov, 05: 4th Nov 2005 - 17:23 GMTVisited your fantastic city in June - what a place! These photos are just awesome! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 4th Nov 2005 - 17:45 GMTSheila, I got the shot from my office windowhere and went out one drunken night and got these. Glad you liked NYC. It's a hell of a place. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 9th Dec 2005 - 15:23 GMTGoodbye, window on the Chrysler. I'm going back to a crappy office uptown, probably next to the mens bathroom and/or the person who grunts and screams while they work. Sigh.
GGP: 9th Dec 2005 - 19:26 GMToooh--sorry you are losing your wonderful view; I have certainly appreciated and enjoyed the images you've collected from this amazing vantage point. I suspect you'll find some fun things to share with us in your new digs as well. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 10th Dec 2005 - 16:38 GMTA post-it note for the Chrysler building. I was so moved I wrote a novelty exclamation point with a heart for effect. Annemarie Scotland: 2nd Jan 2006 - 23:35 GMTVisited NYC March 2005 and I still gaze at my pics. So thank you for the new ones I can now look at. Can't wait to return to your fab city! Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
