Views over midtown Manhattan and Times Square from my old rooftop in Hell's Kitchen... This article has been viewed 5605 times in the last 3 years will: 7th Oct 2005 - 18:07 GMTi definitely tried to makeout with a girl on the roof of one of those buildings.. or neighboring building haha Cari: 7th Oct 2005 - 18:53 GMTI absolutely adore that last photo: the reflection of the sun off the windows of the building on the left with the blues and purples of the sky juxtaposed with the the smokestack and lingering smoke. What a lovely time and place to make out!
Kat: 7th Oct 2005 - 23:32 GMTSo Beautiful joey: 8th Oct 2005 - 01:40 GMTi see the 'M' hotel. why that's the Hotel Manhattan - 44th to 45th Streets at 8th Avenue. New York's new completely air-conditioned hotel. 1400 rooms...each with private bath, television and radio. Located in the heart of the fabulous theatre district * Telephone JUdson 2-0300. HOME OF THE FAMOUS PLAYBILL RESTAURANT. you can see the post card view here; jack: 10th Oct 2005 - 18:55 GMTthe M inthe first photo is the old manhattan hotel. there were many great dances there in the 50's and 60's. it eventually changed to the milford plaza where i worked for awhile as concierge. the original mama leone's moved from 48th street and 8th avenue to get closer to the theatre district. it settled in the milford plaza. 8th avenue housed the madison square garden in my time at 48th street. it was a raunchy area in the 60's but rudy changed it all. nice photos.
sine: 15th Feb 2006 - 22:34 GMTactually i took these, but peter posted them. happens a lot! actually i took these in secret and then turned into an owl when peter came on the roof. procyon: 13th Feb 2007 - 07:34 GMTthe colors on that vent thing in the last one are spectacular. i don't think i've met a metal object in real life that weathered that beautifully.
