Jamie: If only all buildings were painted like this

Peter: 2nd Sep 2005 - 14:10 GMT

yeah, totally. there are *tons* of murals like that going up in around and lately for some reason. i guess teh tail end of summer weather is conducive to painting murals or something. anyway, there are actually two huge ones that are pretty cool going up on the avenue near where i live. one covers the whole bottom 6 feet of the building, running parallel to the sidewalk, al lteh way down the block. its huge. ill snap some shots when they finish it and remove the scaffolding and stuff.

jeeff: same here. lots of new community murals.

Peter: time to bust out the ol' camera :)

Park lope Glass Is The Best Company Great i Mean Excellent service

PR: 3rd Jan 2008 - 15:45 GMT

My experience with Park Slope Windows and Glass has been a nightmare. I am still waiting for a window to be installed. I cannot comment on the window itself because I am still waiting for the installation, however, I can say that they are less than effective business people. They don't keep appointments, they over promise and grossly under deliver. I will never use them again.

MB: 11th Jan 2008 - 22:05 GMT

I agree with the previous commenter. We put new windows in an entire building through Park Slope Glass and just had a few problems - but you get nothing but a run around from them to fix the problems - they promise a call back that never comes and never follow through - they blame their delays on the ditributors - I'm sure there is more than one distributor in Brooklyn? We spent thousands with them and have thousands more to spend but it won't be with them. What a shame - they used to have such a great reputation!

Peter: 14th Jan 2008 - 21:06 GMT

are they still so overpriced? i had them quote me over $200 to have a piece of glass cut for a tabletop that I ended up getting from somewhere closer for $129 (including free delivery)...

WashPants: 14th Jan 2008 - 21:10 GMT

It's a shame (and a sham) that this place professes any customer service at all. I had a miserable experience with them. After two months of waiting for a simple order I still didn't have the glass and was never given a meaningful answer about the delays. I even dealt with the partners directly who repeatedly broke promises to call back with updates. Ultimately I had to give up and go elsewhere.

Totally useless and disappointing.

Apparently, I'm not the only person who has had trouble: abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=7on_your_side&id=5189312

I had a window replaced over a year ago and there have only been problems. The installation was not done properly and we had leaks for months. Then in the winter we actually had ice formations on the inside of the glass coating the entire frame. They finally reinstalled the frame, but the window is still leaking. They NEVER show up for appointments on time and will cancel an appointment at the very last minute. When calling to get a straight answer about an arrival time they tell you a sob story about how hard it is to run the business, traffic, how busy they are, etc. We are all busy - this is a poorly run business with low quality work.

A: 15th Jan 2008 - 18:18 GMT

I never did any business with them. How could I?
They don't show.

WR: 17th Jan 2008 - 15:12 GMT

I called to speak with them about an outstanding issue and the phone just rang and rang. This is consistent with my experience with the "new management." Go to H_LL! I'll never use you again.

Andy: so is there someone else people would recommend?

Broken Window, Cracked Business: 16th May 2008 - 14:50 GMT

Hi. I've had a problem with Park Slope Window and Glass for several months, and have not been able to get any response from them regarding some very shoddy worth they did on my place. They won't reply to my repeated calls, and I was treated very unprofessionally when I actually dropped by their shop to discuss it in person, and was told that their manager was out. He always seems to be out. Hmmm. Out of frustration, I took to Google to look into the problem and the company, and found this site and many others like it that goes to show what a bad business Park Slope Window and Glass runs.

Avoid them at all costs! And they will cost you a lot! And then not do the work correctly or return your calls when you try to complain! Rip Off!

Grant: 21st Jul 2008 - 19:13 GMT

Thank god Park Slope windows didn't show up for our two appointments we scheduled for an estimate. Sure they wasted 2 days of my time, missing both appointments, however after reading all these comments, I'd rather have wasted time, than wasted time & money and have a poor installation done. Thank you Park Slope for refusing to work. It was a blessing.
