Sofa Sore
[previous] :: [next]Life has become small. Even the shortest walk feels insurmountable. Luckily Ted enjoys mirroring my illness and we lay in balls of blanket cocooned, whilst the rain and sea mists grey the windows and blur the hours one into the next and the next - until its evening and the struggle to eat begins. Today my mission was to swim - but at the pool my energy dies on me and i can hardly manage 10 lengths - an aqua class is in mid session and elderly people do bizarre things with floats to strengthen their hearts, I wonder if i am in the right lane, my heart has been weakened and my direction blurred by this lengthy bout of pain and fatigue. Despite all this i remain true to my mission to believe that this is simply a step - a small part of a bigger plan, out of which an answer will appear as I lay on the sofa. Sore.
