Kitchen Window Sunset

highly doctored, but essentially the sunset out of my coupla weeks ago. i have a huge recalcitrant smudge on my lens which needed doctoring out, and i did this out of 2 photos and caused that crease to appear. since i had already 'healed' out the dirty smudge, the crease was no trouble. not quite fresh off the press, but worth it i think. the dignifies the crown of telecom stuff on the top of an otherwise unremarkable building

the photo is lovely, and i like the description too... especially the part about telecom equipment dignifying an otherwise unremarkable building, heh heh.

elaine: 26th Jul 2005 - 13:46 GMT

well i wasn't gonna put it in because of the bloody smudges getting me down, but it was so beautiful it seemed a shame

glad you posted this, because it's one of those nice collaborations between sky & human-made gunk, which is always a most pleasing compensation.

that golden colour in the sky is my favourite colour.

jeeff: 27th Jul 2005 - 04:15 GMT

we had a sunset surprisingly similar to this one today. it was kind of stormy out.

Peter: 27th Jul 2005 - 13:53 GMT

and today we get the storm: 95+ degrees and an intense thunder storm. *sigh*

elaine: 27th Jul 2005 - 13:55 GMT

we've had weather for days, and it is still on. roll on 'no weather'

Peter: ...i think weve gotten your heatwave, england!

elaine: give it frikkin back. i need it here

Put on your shoes and go find a real scene somewhere - shooting out of your bedroom window in your underwear at a gaggle of ugly antenna can't be your best shot at creating an enduring photographic image.
- the editing is good however - can't really see it at all.

Around Peterborough: Part One

I have this tendancy to focus on small details, often missing the bigger picture. This applies to my life as much as it does my photography, but it occurred to me recently that i've never really posted anything that gives...
