There are fireworks displays in Milwaukee nearly every weekend from June until September. It's fun to be out just before the displays are scheduled to start, as you can see the city migrating to the lakefront to watch. Then, right before the booming begins, everything gets a bit more quiet, and the city seems to settle into itself. This photo comes from just such a moment.
