Sometimes, the easiest way to get an accurate view into what the population is like in a certain area is to simply observe the themselves. Yesterday, home, I continuously snapped at every stop, both on the train, and on the second leg of my commute, on the -bound .

I managed to get some interesting . I'd love to see faces from other , too, if anyone is up to the challenge...

neat series. I like the ones under the Jane Jetson--one of the wittier ad campaigns of late. And what's w/ the guy holding the paper over his face--is he hiding from your camera? I also love the woman reading the newspaper--great composition on that one. and so very walker evans is the first of the trio shots (woman reading book/red shirt/woman with bag). were you overtly taking these--were folks aware of what you were doing? as tony the tiger would say, "they're Grrrreat!"

the guy covering his face wit hthe pamphlet was some crazy guy... at first, i thought he was talking on a mobile while holding a paper, but as soon as he turned, i saw he was just talking to himself, holding the paper up like a phone. strange! even stranger still was the fact that he was wearing two fanny-packs and had a rat-tail down to his waist...

no, i take these as subtlely as possible. ive turned the "shutter sound" off on the treo so no one can hear it, and i basically just fuddle around with the phone, pretending im trying to get a good signal (which is alot easier to pull off on the above-ground as opposed to the subway, heh!) anbd randomly snap shots. thats why some of em arent always perfect compositions... im sort of "shooting form the hip" as it were.

but its fun :)
