[previous] :: [next]how to get your bearings in a new city This article has been viewed 2604 times in the last 3 years elaine: 10th May 2005 - 19:14 GMTcertainly i did, and that's not all. i also went to the UN which i discovered to be a right laugh. basically, they give you a tour, and they expect you to behave (you have to tell them who is in the party in advance, so they can check you are not a journalist/spy/terrorist) but what happens is if you ask awkward questions they get really shifty, because even tour guides there effectively are UN spokespersons. marv. and i went a tour of the history of the skyscraper, and i went to a college in new jersey to visit, also good. elaine: 11th May 2005 - 17:20 GMTthis was my inspiration for scanning these in. i also went up our lovely round thing - the eye. but i filmed and no longer have the technology to pump it out. maybe i have to go up again? elaine: 31st May 2005 - 06:51 GMTand here is the groovy bag you get swag in at the top of the empire state building if you buy a gew gaw. this is a lovely american graphic - the typography, the line drawing, and the jolly dance the empire states are doing in red and black Comment on this article[previous] :: [next] |
